DEATH OF MRS. BABB
 
Expires Very Suddenly at the Home of Her Son
 
Mrs. A. C. Babb died very suddenly at the home of her son, Caleb, shortly 
after 10 o'clock Tuesday night of heart failure.
 
She had been at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jack Farmer, who is very ill, 
and had gone home with Caleb for the purpose of getting a night's rest.  She 
dropped in at Mr. Childers' to wait until Caleb had unlocked the house and 
started a fire, and while there she remarked that she was feeling much better 
than she had for some time.  Upon reaching Caleb's house she laid down on the 
bed, remarking that she was very tired.  Very shortly afterward she called to 
her son and told him that she was dying.  The neighbors and doctor were 
hastily summoned, but she expired immediately.
 
The funeral was held at 1 o'clock Wednesday from the M. E. church.
 
Mrs. Babb was born in Tennessee and when 9 years old she moved to Missouri 
with her parents.  Here she was married to Alfred Babb and in 1882 they came 
to Salubria valley where they have since lived.  Mrs. Babb was 54 years old 
and had been married 37 years.  She leaves a husband and 11 children, all of 
whom -- with the exception -- are residents of this valley.
