OBITUARY
 
Carrie Colson was born Nov. 8, 1883 in Salubria and died on December 17, 1921, 
on the same ranch on which she was born.  She was married to Ernest Layton in 
1903, to whom eight children were born.  Mr. Layton died Jan. 2, 1917.
 
In 1919 she was married to William Cape.
 
She leaves besides her husband and nine children, her father, Col. A. M. 
Colson and one brother, C. A. Colson of Estacada, Ore.
 
Funeral services were held in the Methodist church, Monday Dec. 19 and burial 
was at Salubria Cemetery.  Rev. Hansen officiating.

We wish to thank the kind friends and neighbors for their help, sympathy, kind 
words during the sickness and death of our wife and mother, Mrs. Carrie Cape.
