Young Boy Passes Away
 
George Carpenter, the 18-year old son of Mrs. John Baker, who lives about 
seven miles east of town, died Friday evening.  The young man had been 
suffering for some time with an abscess in his side.  An operation was 
performed last week, but could not save his life.  He was operated on last 
fall at Boise for appendicitis but had never been well since.  Funeral 
services were held at the late home of the boy Sunday morning, and interment 
was in the Midvale cemetery.  The funeral services were conducted by Rev. 
France of Cove, in Salubria Valley.
