T. Cole D. T. Cole, an old timer in this valley, passed away last Saturday evening. He had been ailing for a good many years, and his death was not unexpected. Mr. Cole was born in St. Louis on May 4, 1830, and was in his 64th year when he died. He was married at Boise to Miss Elizabeth McDowell and shortly afterward moved to this valley arriving here in 1868, and has been a resident of this neighborhood ever since. He at one time owned the farm on which Mr. Eddy now lives, where the post office of Spring was located. Thirteen children were born to them, seven of whom are still living. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the family residence, conducted by Rev. Willoughby. A large concourse of friends followed the remains to the Salubria cemetery, where he was laid to rest. He leaves a wife, four sons and seven daughters to mourn his demise.
