F. Compton, who live on a ranch five miles from Midvale, was killed about 11 a.m. yesterday by being run over by a wagon. Mr. and Mrs. Compton and six children were on their way to Grangeville and had in the wagon besides the eight people about a thousand pounds of camp outfit. Little Vernie was in the center of the wagon with the other children and apparently lost his balance and fell over the side, the heavy wheel passing over his body at the point of the breast bone. -- Leader Note: According to the Idaho Death Index, Vernie Compton was born 5-20-1911 and died 8-20-1914.
