EDMUNSON Another Pioneer Gone to the Mysterious Beyond Mrs. Bradley Edmunson, whose illness has been mentioned from time to time in the Citizen, passed quietly away at 11 o'clock last Monday night, surrounded by her entire family. She had suffered long from cancer of the stomach, and for weeks it was only a question of a short time. Several weeks ago she was taken to Weiser for medical treatment and since that time the members of her family have been constantly by her side. It was indeed a noble ending of a noble life, during her last hours to be surrounded by husband and children. Gathered around the death bed were three generations -- husband, sons, and daughters, sons-in-law and grandchildren, all of whom had learned to love and cherish the noble woman whose life had been devoted to their welfare. All was done for her that it was possible to do, but of no avail. The life-sustaining machinery was worn and wasted by disease and her life slowly ebbed away. She was brought to Cambridge on Wednesday's train, where the mourning party was met at the depot by many friends who accompanied them to the church where the funeral services were held. Then, in accordance with her dying request, she was buried in the Cambridge cemetery. Mrs. Edmunson was born in Norway, August 12, 1843, and while yet a child she came to America with her parents, who settled in Wisconsin, where she resided until her marriage with Bradley Edmunson in 1863. During that year Mrs. Edmunson came west, returning in 1968 (sb1868) and bringing his wife to the coast with him. They lived in California, Oregon and Washington until 1891, when they came to Washington county and settled on the place where she resided until the time of her death. She leaves a husband and eight children to mourn the death of a faithful and devoted wife and mother. Mrs. Edmunson was among the pioneers in this country. During her eleven years' residence here she made hosts of friends. She was loved and respected by all who knew her. The Citizen joins her many friends in extending their heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family. In this connection Mr. Edmunson and children desire to extend through the Citizen their sincere thanks to the people of Cambridge and vicinity for the many courtesies and sympathies shown them during their time of sorrow; also to the employees of the P. & I. N., who were very kind to them.
