Services were held yesterday at 12 o'clock at the late home of the deceased, Revs. Leder and Blom officiating. Mr. Edson was a charter member of Ross Lodge No 96, I.O.O.F., and a large number of Odd Fellows and Rebekahs were in attendance. The ceremonies of the other were held at the cemetery. The remains were interred in the Keithly Creek cemetery. The attendance at the funeral was one of the largest ever seen in the valley. Arthur Edson was born in Oregon. He was about 54 years of age. He located in Middle Valley in 1883. He was married to Ida Hopper, a resident of the valley who survives him. He leaves nine children, all of them living. Three brothers, W. R. of Midvale, Charles of Weiser, and Newell, a resident of California, survive him. All of his children reside here with the exception of Mrs. John Bowen, who is a resident of Oregon. Arthur Edson enjoyed the respect and esteem of all who knew him, and his family and relatives have the sympathy of all in their loss. Note: According to the Idaho Death Index, Arthur Enoch Edson was born 11-12- 1859 and died 6-9-1914.
