HANNAN Mart Hannan, who has been failing for the past couple of years, passed away at his home last week. He went to bed as well as usual that night. In fact he had been feeling about the same as he usually did for some time. He ate a hearty dinner the day before his death, but in the evening he said he was not hungry and did not eat supper, but otherwise he was in his usual good spirits. Some time between 3 and 4 o'clock Wednesday morning Mrs. Hannan noticed he was breathing differently and got up and lighted a lamp. He was unable to speak, and before the family could be summoned he died without regaining consciousness. Mr. Hannan had been a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge ever since one was instituted in Salubria, and as was his request he was buried with the I.O.O.F. burial ceremony. A large number of friends and relatives attended the funeral. The procession was just a half a mile long. He was laid to rest in the Salubria cemetery.
