Susie Herner
 
Susie Anna Herner, 99, Weiser, died Sunday, November 14, 1993 at a Weiser care 
center.  Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 17, 
1993 at Thomason Funeral chapel, Weiser.  Burial will follow at Mann Creek 
Cemetery, Weiser.
 
Susie was born October 3, 1894 at Weiser, Idaho, the daughter of Henry and 
Rebecca Dearborn Lanning.  She was raised and educated in Weiser.  She married 
William Thomas Brown, December 24, 1908 at Vale, Oregon.  The couple settled 
on Mann  Creek near Weiser where they farmed.  Mr. Brown passed away June 24, 
1935.
 
Susie worked in several local businesses in the Weiser area including orchard 
work, restaurants, the Weiser Laundry and Clark Wholesale.  She married Frank 
E. Herner in October of 1937 and they continued to reside near Weiser on 
Mann   Creek.  Mr. Herner passed away in 1948.
 
Susie is survived by a son, George Henry Brown of Cambridge; two daughters, 
Edith Bain of Potlatch and Goldie Mann of Weiser; a daughter-in-law, Letha 
Brown of Weiser; 13 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; several great-
grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
 
Susie was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers, one sister, a son, 
Walter and a grandson.
