L. Keithly passed to her reward. For several weeks Mrs. Keithly had been ailing, having had an attack of bronchitis, but not considered seriously ill until the latter part of last week when she was attacked with pneumonia. She began failing immediately, and her husband and children realized that her time was drawing to a close, and just before daylight the soul passed to the God who gave it. Mrs. Keithly was born in St. Charles county, Missouri, and with her husband came to Idaho in 1875, locating on Keithly Creek on the homestead where she passed away. For more than 37 years she has been a resident of Idaho. There was but two or three families in this section when she came here. Mrs. Keithly was the mother of ten children, all of whom are living but one. She was a consistent Christian woman, beloved by all who knew her, a faithful and loving wife, a devoted mother and steadfast friend. She will be missed in the community. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon, the body being taken from the home to Mount Pleasant Chapel where an eloquent and touching address was delivered by Elder G. W. Williams, of whose church she has been a member. The body was interred in the Keithly Creek Cemetery, large concourse of sorrowing relatives and friends followed the remains to its last resting place. Mrs. Keithly leaves a husband and nine children, five sons and four daughters all of whom except Mrs. Thos. Mackey, live in Midvale and vicinity. She also leaves a brother, Levi Keithly, to mourn the loss of a loving sister. Twenty- five grandchildren survive her.
