W. Lalone The news of the death of Mr. Lalone was a surprise to every one in Salubria. Not more than a week ago he was in town apparently in good health. But shortly after that he was taken with rheumatism and had been confined to his bed until his death, which occurred on July 4th. He was buried in the Salubria cemetery on July 5th Pastor Elton conducting the funeral. J. W. Lalone was born in Petsdam, NY and was 52 years old last May. He leaves a wife and one child at home and some married children in the east (the names and number of whom we were unable to learn). They were comparative strangers here having moved on the Jenson place about a year ago. He was a painter and sign writer by trade and had done quite an amount of work in Salubria. Mr. Lalone was held in high esteem by those who knew him. Sleep darling where the songsters warble In sweetness o'er thy cherished breast. Beneath the wild flowers and the marble Dream on beloved and take thy rest Dear God has called you from us. Unto his realm of love, Out of this world, so fierce and wild To dwell in peace above. And now we know that you will wait. Up on the golden strand, To welcome us with fond embrace Among that angel band.
