The news of his death was a shock to his many friends in Weiser, as he was around town Monday and in apparent good health. The immediate cause of his death is unknown to us at the present writing. Mr. Lansden was a pioneer of Idaho and was closely identified with many of the exciting events that enter into the early history of our state. During the time of the Indian wars and depredations he is remembered for many difficult and distinguished services. In the past few years he has been called upon to meet and overcome some severe business reveraes, and as he had just achieved success and was ready to enjoy the fruits of his labor, he is called away. He leaves a wife and large family to mourn his loss and honor his memory. Funeral at 2 p.m. Thursday. He is buried in Weiser cemetery. -- Record Note: Hillcrest Cemetery, Weiser, Id.
