Buried Monday. Olive Myrtle Looney, who was taken to Boise for an operation for appendicitis, died at 8 p.m. on March 10. The news of her death came as a distinct shock, as she was reported doing splendidly and expected soon to return home. The change came very suddenly. Her brother John, was in Boise, accompanied the remains home, and was met at the train by the family and the pupils of her room, which had been dismissed for the occasion. The cortege went from there directly to the M.E. church where the funeral sermon was preached by Rev. Baker. She was then laid to rest in the Salubria Cemetery. Olive Myrtle Looney was born February 22, 1901, and was aged 16 years and 16 days. She leaves a mother and stepfather, one brother and two sisters to mourn her untimely taking away.
