M. Yesterday Miss Cora Mickey, daughter of F.M. and Mary Mickey, who had been ill with typhoid fever since July 3d, passed away at her home yesterday (Thursday) morning at 6:30 o'clock. Her condition had been considered serious for some time, but it was thought until a few days ago that she would recover. At that time a change came for the worse and it was realized that she could not live. Mr. and Mrs. Hitt were telephoned for at Weiser. Mr. Hitt, however, was away on his regular tour of inspection, and was telephoned to near Payette. He immediately came to Weiser, and being unable to secure a change of horses, took Mrs. Hitt into the buggy and came on through, driving 70 miles with the same team. They arrived several hours before her death. The funeral will take place at the Baptist church today (Friday) at 1 p.m., Rev. Elton officiating. Miss Mickey was born in Washington county at the home where the family now lives. She leaves a father and mother, 7 brothers, and 1 sister, who were all present at the time of her death. Cora was a favorite among her many friends and school mates, and was liked by all who knew her. The bereaved family and relatives have the heartfelt sympathies of the entire community in their hour of sorrow.
