PASSES AWAY AFTER LONG ILLNESS
 
Saturday morning, Mrs. Elbredge Pickett passed away after a long illness 
during which she suffered unspeakable pain.  For more than a year she has been 
an invalid.  Some time since an operation was performed, but she received no 
benefit from it.
 
Mrs. Pickett, who was born in Middle Valley, was 25 years of age.  She leaves 
a husband and three small children, two girls and a boy, besides a father, two 
sisters and several brothers.
 
Funeral services were held Sunday at the Midvale Baptist Church, Rev. Leger 
officiating.  The attendance at the church and the number that followed the 
remains to their last resting place attested to the esteem and love in which 
the deceased was held by all.  The bereaved husband and relatives have the 
sympathy of all in their great loss.
