B. Shaw On Monday of last week at his home in Weiser, occurred the death of Ben James Shaw, one of the pioneer settlers of this section of the state. Mr. Shaw came to this section from Missouri over a quarter of a century ago. He lived in Indian Valley most of the time, having run the stage line between Cambridge and Indian Valley for several years. He and his family ran the Hogadone Hotel in Cambridge for some time, and from here they moved to the lower country, where they had resided since. Deceased was sixty eight years of age at the time of his demise and leaves a wife and four daughters to mourn his loss. The daughters are Mrs. Robert Ware, of Midvale; Mrs. Will Ware of Union, Oregon; Mrs. Charles Satterfield who lived with the parents and Mrs. William Strobel. Additional Comments: Note: Ben James Shaw was born 2-17-1850 and died 2-18-1918.
