Well Known Resident Passes to the Beyond
 
After an illness of nearly a year, Thomas Towell, one of the best known 
residents of this section, a resident of Washington county for more than 32 
years, passed away at his home on Pine Creek.  Death was the result of a 
stroke of paralysis with which he was attacked last fall.
 
Mr. Towell, who was nearly 47 years of age, was born in Mercer county, 
Missouri.  He leaves a wife and one child, a daughter, father, mother, three 
brothers and two sisters to mourn his loss.  He was a highly respected citizen 
and leaves many friends to regret his death.
 
Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ yesterday at 11 a.m., Elder 
Collins officiating.  Interment was in Midvale cemetery.  A large attendance 
of sorrowing friends were present at the services at the church and followed 
the remains to their resting place on the hillside overlooking the valley he 
loved so well.
