Pioneer Passes to the Beyond
 
Sunday morning, at an early hour, Mrs. Harvey Widner, for more than 31 years, 
a resident of the valley, answered the call that must come to all sooner or 
later.  After an illness of many years with dropsy, and after much suffering 
she was called hence.  Her sufferings she bore with remarkable patience and 
forbearance, and was beloved by all who knew her.
 
Mrs. Widner was 58 years of age.  She was a native of Ohio.  She leaves a 
husband, four sons and two daughters to mourn the loss of a loving wife and 
mother.  All her children live in the valley and were present during her last 
hours.
 
Funeral services were held from her late home Monday afternoon, Rev. T. A. 
Leger officiating.  There was a large attendance of friends of the deceased in 
life, and a large number followed the remains to the cemetery.
