The guests were the immediate relatives and a few friends of the family. Rev. Bush of Weiser performed the ceremony, using the Episcopal service, including the giving of the troth and the ring. The bridal party entered the room to the strains of Mendelssohn's wedding march, played by Miss Alta Mentzer of Pendleton, Oregon, a cousin of the bride. The father of the bride gave her in marriage. Miss Elsie Robinson, a sister of the bride, was maid of honor. She wore a gown of yellow chiffon and taffeta and carried a large bouquet of lavender asters. The bridal party stood under an arch of rose foliage and Ophelia roses. The bride wore a gown of white hand embroidered voile and satin and carried a beautiful shower bouquet of bride's roses. She wore no jewelry except the groom's gift, a lovely broach of old gold, set with pearls and diamonds. A wedding breakfast was served in the dining room, the table being decorated in ferns and sweet peas, and was presided over by Mrs. C. E. Mentzer and Misses Alta Mentzer and Evelyn Koontz. The bride has been a teacher in the New Meadows school for the past four years. The groom has been practicing law for several years in New Meadows and has now been appointed prosecuting attorney for Washington county. The bridal pair left amid showers of rice and old shoes for a honeymoon trip to the mountains and a visit with the groom's parents near Corral, Idaho. They will be at home at Weiser after October 1.
