Genealogical Society in 1986. All later burials have been added by members of the Ebenezer Chapel and Burial Society, and are current to January 1, 1994. The Ebenezer Chapel was listed in the National Register as a Historic Building on June 4, 1984. It is listed as: Ebenezer Methodist Episcopal Chapel and Cemetery, NW of Golden, Adams Co., IL. More detailed directions to the Ebenezer Chapel & Cemetery are as follows: Start at the intersection of IL State Routes 61 and 94. Go north 1 mile to County Road N-2700. Go west 1 1/2 miles to County Road E-2100. Go north (actually northwest) 1/2 mile to Ebenezer Chapel and Cemetery, located at the intersection of County Roads N-2750 and E-2100. The Chapel and the Cemetery are maintained by donations from the descendants of those buried in the cemetery. A fund has been set up and administered by the Ebenezer Chapel and Burial Society, a non- profit corporation registered with the State of Illinois. Anyone who makes an annual donation is entitled to be a voting member of the Society, and is invited to attend the annual Board meeting held after Sunday services every Memorial Day weekend. The Chapel is open for services only on Memorial Day weekend, or by special arrangements made with the Board.
