Mrs. Brewer's maiden anem was Frances Elizabeth Ohren, a daughter of Mathis and Elizabeth (Hessen) Ohren and she was born near Old Ripley May 2, 1870. On July 27, 1892 she was married to Thomas Jefferson Brewer. Three sons were born to them, Clarence Brewer of Greenville, Thomas J. Brewer, who died at athe age of nine months, and William Clay Brewer, who died in 1922 at the age of seventy years. Her husband died June 21, 19 37. Four granchildren survive her. Mrs. Dwight Mulford of Boston, Massachusetts, Miss Rose Brewer with American Red Cross in Palestine, Mrs. Roland Britt, whose husband is station at Kessler Field, Mississippi and Cpl. Clarence Jefferson Brewer of the Army Signal Corps. and stationed in the Panama Canal Zone. Two sisters, Mrs. Ida Dauderman and Miss Amelia Brewer of near Old Ripley also survive.
