He was born near Paris, France, May 1, 1821 and came to the United States in the early fourties. soon after he married Miss Hannah Koester of near St. Louis. To them were born four children, one of whom Philip died at the age of six. the other surviving are, Mrs. Philip Diehl and Frank J. Cable of this city and Henry Cable of Altamont. the wife of the deceased died about 2 years ago. Burial at Montrose Cemetery.
