She was born on Feb. 14, 1877, in Greenville, a daughter of Charles W. and Emma C. (Miller) Seawell. She married on Oct 4, 1900, to Will C. Carson, current editor and publisher of The Greenville Advocate. He survives with a daughter, Mildred Sewell Carson. Others surviving are: her mother, Mrs. Emma C. Sewell: a sister, C. Ruth Seawell; and brothers, Sam M. Sewell of Los Angles, Ca.; and F.P Seawell of Clarksburg, W. V. She was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Miller Seawell, on Sept 4, 1904; and by a sister, Betty Seawell, on Feb 10, 1911, and by a foster sister, Miss Lucy White, on Oct 10, 1910. Mrs. Carson was a school teacher. Interment was at Montrose Abby.
