Allen Caylor was born in Montgomery County, Ohio on January 27,1833 and 
departed this life at his home in Pleaseant Mound, May 9. 1906, at the age of 
73 years, 3 months, and 12 days.  He came to Illinois on April 17, 1860 and on 
August 15, 1861 he married Sina Eakin.  to this union were born three 
children, Amanda, Charlie, and Daisy Ellen, two of whom preced him to the 
spirit world.  he was a volunte in the service of this county.  He served from 
may until November 1864, when he was honorably discharged.  he leaves to mourn 
his wife, son and six grandchildren.  His body was interred at Noffsinger 
Cemetery.
