Howard Franklin Clayton, 49, died at Alton, July 2, 1957.
Mr. Calyton, son of Frank and Elsie Clayton was born on a farm east of 
Millersburg, October 14, 1907.  He was married to Iola Hussey at Springfield, 
Illinois, February 2, 1931. To them were born two children, Mrs. Nina Mae Volkmar 
of DeSoto, Illinois and Marshall Perry Clayton of Pocahontas, who survive with 
their mother.
Also surviving are two grandchildren, Carol Ann and Forrest Allen Volkmar, two 
brothers Harold of Highland and Perry of Lincoln and one sister, Mrs. Charles 
Cataveiu of Grandfork.  His father and one brother Lloyde and one sister, Elsie 
Winifred preceded him in death.
