Coleman, aged 69, years of Old Ripley township died at his home northwest of Old Ripley, Jan 12, 1923. John George Coleman was born Sept. 15, 1852 in Germany, son of Rine and Margaret Coleman. When a lad of five years of age he came to the United States with his parents and settled near Bunker Hill. Here he was united in marriage to Miss Petta Bliss on October 11, 1880, who with the following children survive, Henry and Albert of Old Ripley and John of Sorento, Mrs. Harmon Shoen of Old Ripley, Mrs. W. Ketring of Beaver Creek, Mrs. Minnie Schrumpf and Mrsl Louisa Thiems of Highland and Miss Manda and Lena Coleman at home. One daughter Mrs. Fred Brave, preceded her father in death. He is also survived by one borther Albert Coleman of Fay, Oklahoma and 23 grandchildren .
