Mrs. Gordon's maiden name was Laura May McMorrow and she was born December 9, 1872, a daughter of Rev. and Mrs. William McMorrow. On July 2, 1890 she was married to Dr. Ed Gordon, and they made their home at Old Ripley from the time they were married until Dr. Gordon's death some six years ago. After Dr. Gordon's death the family moved to Mulberry Grove and later to St. Louis. she is survivied by three daughters, Mrs. L. G. Weber of Chilicothe, Ohio and Nannie Helen and Nina who live at home and four sons, William and John of St. Louis and Harlan and Willis who live at home. She is survived by one brother, Charles McMarrow of Mcleansboro and two sisters, Mrs. Ellen Flynn of Mound City and Mrs. Alice Doff of Sprinfield, Missouri.
