He was born in Tamalco, April 12, 1886, osn of O. F. and Saphronia Kershner and was aged 36 years, 8 month and 12 days at the time of his death . He is survived by his mother, Mrs. Saphronia Kershner of Virden, two brothers, John of Virden and Oscar of Washington, DC and two half-brothers, Leslie Aikens of Virden and Earnst Kershner of Tamalco. Interment was made at Ducan Cemetery.
