Landolt, aged 50 years, died at his home just across the line in Madison County, southwest of Old Ripley August 26, 1924. Samuel Frederick Landolt was born in bond county, August 16, 1874, a son of Arnold and Rebecca (Mollett) Landolt. Until his marriage 26 years ago to Anna Ludwig he had lived in Bound county, but at that time moved just across the line and had since resided there. He is survived by his wife and eight children, six sons John and Henry of near Old Ripely, Sam, Jr., Clarence, Herbert and Orville and daughters Stella and Mildred still all live at home. He is also survived by his parents and the following brothers and sisters, Mrs. John Marcoot and Mrs. Robert Britt of near Pleasant Mound, Mrs. Arthur wilson of Richmond Califorina, Mrs. Susie Brown of Alberta, Canada, Mrs. Julia Kerstein of Pocahontas and Harry Landolt of Madison county.
