Tobias Lindley was born near Jamestown, Clinton county, January 3, 1856, son of Jacob and Nancy J. Lindley. He grew to manhood in Clinton county, where at Carlyle October 26, 1879 he married Catherine Wilds. Two years after their marriage tehy came to Bond county and settled near Millersburg, and later moved to Greenville where they resided for 15 years, later moving to Pocahontas. To them were born three children, two of whom have preceded the father in death. The wife and one son, Jacob Dewey of Sorento Survives. He is also survived by one brother, U. W. Lindley of Pocahontas and three sisters, Mrs. Rebecca Gillespie of Pocahontas, Mrs. Anna Evans of Sorento and Mrs. Charles Ellington of Greenville.
