Mary Ellen Miles died at her home in Pocahontas, December 3, 1922, ten days 
after the death of her husband, John W. Miles.  Mrs Miles was aged 73 years 
and seven days.
Mary Ellen Miles was born November 26, 1849 in Marion County, Ohio, a daughter 
of Jonathan and Catherine (McCann) Kersner.  She was united in marriage to 
John W. Miles, March 15, 1866, near Dudleyville.  to this union were born 5 
children, two Walter and Elsie having died in Infancy.  The surviving children 
are Mrs. Emma Lipple, Frank and Arthur of Pocahontas.  She is also survived  
by one sister, Mrs. Rosa Mattlingly of Mulberry Grove and three brothers, John 
H. Kirshner of Amesterdam, Missouri, Perry Kersner of Pocahontas and Frank 
Kirsher of S. Louis.

Additional Comments:
Burial was at Robinsons Cemetery near Pocahontas
