Died at the residence of her cousin, Mrs. Fannie Sprague, in this city, October 28, 1876. Mrs. Potts was the daughter of Nathan Reed, who 53 years ago, when his daughter was about 5 years old moved from Tennessee to the neighborhood of Jamestown, then Bond county, Il. May years ago he went To Arkansas to live and since died. Mrs. Potts was twice married. First to Thomas Potts. He was a soldier in the late war, and died a few months after his discharge. the son by her husband, the only child she leaves resides in California. the second husband J.W. Potts was a cousin of the first, and soon after the marriage, 6 years ago, she went to reside with him in California. Her age was about 48 years. The remains were brought by her husband to Jamestown for burial where they rest beside her first husand.
