J. Thomas Price was born in Martin Collery, County Durham, Englad, July 29,1890, son of the late Joseph and Elizabeth (Brown) Price, his parents dying when he was a small boy. When 16 years of age he came to America and went to live with his aunt, Mrs. John French at Tilden, Illinois, locating in Pocahontas about three years ago. He made his home with his cousins, Thomas Brown Family.
