Mr. Spies had been in failing health the last two years. The body is at the Perfetti Funeral Home in Sorento to await funeral services held at 2. p.m., Wednesday at the Bethel Presbyterian church in Reno. Rev. Frank Bush of this cit officaiting. Interment will be at Bethel Cemetery. Mr. Spies was born in Shoal Creek Township, five miles south of Reno, Jan. 17, 1875, the son of Charles and Margaret (Reinhart) Spies and was aged 84 years, five months and 26 days. He had lived all his life in Shoal Creek Township and the past 17 years had lived with his daughter, Mrs. Ida Davis. He was married December 28, 1904 to Anna Wylder at Springfield who has preceded him in death. Surviving this union are three sons, Charles R, and Harry W. of this city and Philip Jr. of Pocahontas and four daughters, Mrs. Helen Chesnut and Mrs. Wilma L. Lohman of Donnellson. A son Virgil M. Died in 1925. Also suriving are three sisters, Mrs. Kate Wylder and Mrs. May Boullon.
