Mrs. Nannie Wise, wife of John L. wise of East. St. Louis, died at the home of her 
parents Mrs. J.S. Ridgeway southwest of Pocahontas, August 9, 1903.
She was born October 6, 1866 in this county and on January 18, 1888 she was 
married to Mr. Wise. To them was born one daughter, Lettie who with the bereaved 
husband survives together with her parents and three brothers, Benjamin, William 
and Ralph Ridgeway.
