Her maiden name was Susanna Smith and she was born in August 1843. In 1863 she married Rev. Yeck who survives with the following children: Edward, Oscar, Dr. S.E. Yeck of Pierron, Joseph and Logan, Mrs. Robert Kimbro, Blanche Yeck, all of this county and Mrs. Mattie Hickman of Oklahoma. L.W. Yeck and Mrs. George Lyons are step-children. Two brothers George Smith of Smithboro and Sam Smith of Bloomington and two sisters, Mrs. Charles Ingles of Reno and Mrs. John Crutchley also survive her. The Burial took place at the Hastings Graveyard.
