She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stephen Miller, born June 6, 1866 and departed this life June 23, 1936, being at the time of her death 70 years and 17 days of age. She was the last member of her immediate family. Being in failing health the past several years, she bore her suffering patiently until God in His wisdom called her home. The deceased was twice married, first to William Craven, and to this union two sons were born, Henry and Frank, who together with their father preceded her in death many years. Her second marriage occurred in the year 1891, to John Howard, who passed away nineteen years ago. To this union three daughters were born: Mrs. Frank Wright of Plymouth, Mrs. James Monckton and Mrs. Ralph Buss of this city. The subject of this sketch was a faithful wife, a kind and loving mother and a good neighbor. She lived a true Christian life, and was ever willing and ready to serve any and all. She was a faithful attendant of St. Joseph’s church of which she was a devout member, as long as her health permitted her to attend, always finding comfort and solace in her Lord. The funeral services, conducted by Rev. Father O’Donoghue, at St. Joseph’s church Thursday morning, were largely attended. Burial was in the Catholic cemetery. Besides the daughters named, the deceased is survived by eleven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and a large host of friends. Card of Thanks. We wish to extend our thanks to relatives, friends and neighbors for kindness and sympathy shown us during the illness and death of our beloved mother, also for the beautiful floral offerings and to those who tendered cars.
