He was untied in marriage in 1912 to Miss Alta Logsdon of Versailles: to this union three children were born – Horace, Mary Margaret and Carlos LaVerne, Mary Margaret passing away in infancy and Carlos LaVerne at the age of seventeen months. He started in the poultry business at the age of thirteen years, under H. L. Fristoe. He started in business of his own about seventeen years ago. He leaves to mourn his death his wife and son, Horace; a sister Mrs. James Neece; two brothers, Joe Miller of this city and Bernard Miller of Wayland, Mo.; two sisters and five brothers having preceded him in death. He also leaves a host of other relatives and friends.
