During his 35 years employment as butcher in the Meyer Meat Market, he became acquainted with many people and made many friends. He spent his entire life in Brown county. He was united in marriage to Grace miller on October 2, 1906. He leaves to mourn his loss the widow and one son, Federick of Bushnell; also one brother, Bernard of Wayland, Mo., and one sister, Mrs. James Neece of Mt. Sterling. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, two brothers and two sisters. He had been in failing health for six years and was patiently cared for in his home by his devoted wife. Funeral services were held at St. joseph’s church in Mt. Sterling, at 9:30 Monday morning, Mar. 24th, Rev. Father Burtle officiating. Casketbearers were Lozelle Williams, Leonard Ashbaker, Robert Ferguson, Kenneth Ferguson, Loelle Brockman and Emile Meyer. Burial was in the Mt. Sterling Catholic cemetery under direction of Hufnagel Funeral directors.
