Sterling - Floyd Lyle Yockey, 41 year old local resident of the past 35 years, died suddenly at his home here at 6:15 p.m. Sunday evening following a heart attack. Mr. Yockey was born in Brown County Oct. 17, 1919, the son of Fred and Myrtle Moore Yockey. His mother preceded him in death and his father is a resident of Mt. Sterling. He was married Nov. 8, 1940 to Alberta Ploeger at Salt Lake City, Utah. She survives with 5 children, Airman Second Class Thomas Lyle Yockey, stationed with the Air Force in North Dakota, Katherine, Robert, Susan and George, all at home. Two brothers, Mervin, of Streator and Wayne of Mt. Sterling and a half sister, Mrs. Eva Thompson of Peoria, also survive. A sister Katherine Nations preceded him in death. The deceased was a veteran of World War Two. The body is at Rounds Funeral Chapel where services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday with Rev. V.L. Luse officiating. Interment will be in the Mt.
