Oct. 29, 1943, Kampsville, Illinois. Mark Anniversary Of Hardin Couple Wedded 60 Years. Hardin. Mary 10 - Their sixtieth wedding anniversary was quietly observed by Mr. and Mrs. John A. Snider of Hardin last Sunday. They were unitd in marriage May 7, 1879, at the courthouse in Hardin by Judge Steven McDonald. Witnesses of the ceremony were James A. Snider, George W. Hill, Mrs. Betsy Hill and Mark Parker. John A. Snider was born Jan. 17, 1860, the son of James A. and Rebecca Snider in Jersey county and moved with his parents to Calhoun county when about 17 years old. His wife was Mary Frances Hiatt, the daughter of Silas and Martha Hiatt. She was born Sept. 4, 1858, in Brooklyn, Ind. Mr. and Mrs. Snider have resided all of their married life in or near Hardin except for about four years when they resided in Cumberland county.
