TOPEKA, SHAWNEE COUNTY, KANSAS

FEBRUARY 26, 1915



     A.A. Gilbert, who died in Topeka Friday, was laid to rest in Bloomfield 

cemetery, near Rock Creek (Jefferson County, KS).  He was born in Lee County, 

Virginia, November 26, 1836, and married Sarah Elizabeth Crader September 16, 

1862, in Calhoun, Ill. And came to Kansas in 1878.  The children surviving him 

are Ada Gilbert, Carrie Hastings, Amanda Sisco, Grover Gilbert, Roy Gilbert, 

Lowe Gilbert and Alva Gilbert, all of Topeka; John Gilbert of Great Bend, 

Kan.; Leonard Gilbert of Maple Hill, Kan.; Arthur Gilbert of Denver, Colo.; 

and George Gilbert of San Diego, Calif.

   

Additional Comments:
Sarah Crader was the daughter of Abraham Crader and Mary Foster.
