Filed Feb. 10, 1873

Know all men by these presents that I S. A. Mackrill on the
County of Mascatine State of Iowa do by these presents make,
constitute, and appoint John H. Jones of the County of Calhoun
and State of Illinois my true and lawful attorney for me, and in
my place and stead, to receive what is due under a certain
Mortgage in the S.W. 1/4 of Sec. 22 Tp 13 Range 2 West in said
Calhoun County and State of Illinois, in which Ernst Meyers is
and S. A. Mackrill as administrator of the Estate of Joseph
Mackrill is grantee, also to cancel upon the records of said
County, said mortgage when the same is discharged, also to pay my
lawful debts against the said estate of Joseph Mackrill and
otherwise attend to the settlement of said estate Giving and
Granting unto my said attorney full power and authority to do and
perform all and every act and thing whatsoever required and
necessary to be done in and about the premises as fully as I
might or could do if personally present reserving the right to
revoke this power at pleasure, and I hereby catify and confirm
all that my said Attorney may lawfully do in the process by
virtue hereof.

Be it remembered that on this 29th day of August A. D. 1870,
before me the undersigned a Notary Public in and for said County
came S. A. Mackrill to me personally known to be the identical
person whose name is subscribed to the foregoing Power of
Attorney and acknowledged the instrument to be his voluntary act
and deed, and that he executed the same for the purpose therein
mentioned.

first above written.
