FINLEY Former Resident of Beardstown, Whose Death Occurred in Peoria, Buried Here Monday, Aug. 21 The funeral of the late Mrs. Robert Finley, whose death occurred in Peoria, as reported in these columns Sunday, August 20, took place here Monday, August 21. The services were held at the residence of John Knippenberg on South Washington street at 3 o'clock and from the Fourth Street Lutheran church at 3:30 pm. Rev P.C. Croll conducted the ceremonies. Interment was made in the City cemetery. There was a large attendance at the funeral. Deceased had many relatives and friends in Beardstown and was highly respected by all who knew her. Mrs. Anna M. Finley nee Niemann, wife of Robert Finley of Peoria, Ill., was the daughter of Frederick and Christiana Niemann. She was born in Bearstown, December 22, A.D., 1853, and reisded in this city the greater part of her life. About ten years ago she moved from Beardstown to make her home in Peoria. It was in that city that about two years ago she became the wife of Robert Finley. And it was in that city that her death occurred as above stated. She was 52 years, 7 months and 28 days old when called to obey the last summons. She leaves, surviving her, a husband, a mother, one sister, Mrs. John Knippenberg, one daughter, Mrs. Albert Hagener, two brothers, Henry Niemann and William Niemann, two grandchildren, little Annabel and Vera Hagener, daughters of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Hagener. http://files.usgwarchives.net/il/cass/obits/afinley.txt
