April 16, 1932 ELIZABETH NOLDEN, 62, DIES SUDDENLY AFTER FEW HOURS ILLNESS Miss Elizabeth Nolden, 62, lifelong resident of this city, died suddenly at 6:45 this morning in her home at 517 West Fifth street following an illness of only a few hours. Conjestion of the lungs was the cause of death. The decedent was, apparently in fine health yesterday. She attended to her regular household duties and went to her polling place to cast her vote for highway commisioner. She made no complaint upon retiring last night, relatives said, but became suddenly ill early this morning and passed away at 6:45. The decedent was born near Beardstown on a farm September 18, 1870 and was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Nolden, both of whom preceded her in death. Her mother passed away December 26th 1931. She is survived by the following brothers and sisters: Mrs Emma Menckel of Festus, Missouri; Henry and Herbert Nolden of East St. Louis, Illinois; A. L. Nolden of Joliet, Illinois; P. A. Nolden of Des Moines, Iowa; L. F. Nolden of Beardstown, Mrs. Harry Mason of Beardstown and Mrs. W. F. Guelker of this city. The body was taken to the Simpson Home for Services here to be prepared for burial. Funeral arrangements have not been made, pending arrival of relatives from out of the city.
