Obituary of Henrietta Smedley - Cass County, Missouri

Henrietta Smedley
     Mrs. Henrietta Smedley, 76, formerly of 1142 N. Seventy St. and Ashland,
died at 12:15 a. m. Sunday at Springfield Mannor.
     She was born May 22, 1910, in North Dakota, the daughter of Henry and
Hannah Thielen Johnson.  Preceding her in death were her husband, Ernest, in
1965; one daughter; one sister; and two brothers.
     Mrs. Smedley was a member of the Ashland Church of Christ and was a
nurse's aide at St. John's Hospital for 10 years, retiring in 1975.
     Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Eugene (Ruth) Szerletich of
Springfield; one brother, Paul Johnson of Springfield; eight grandchildren
and 10 great-grandchildren.
     Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Ashland Church of Christ and
burial will be at Ashland City Cemetery.
     Massie-Buchanan Funeral Home, Ashland, in charge of arrangements.
