NOLDEN MARY A. NOLDEN dies Saturday at age of 84. Mary A. Nolden, wife of the late Frederick Nolden and resident of this city for many years died Saturday night. Death came at 11:05p.m. in her home at 517 West Fifth Street. She was 84 years and 25 days of age. The descendent, who was president of the Ladies Aid Society of the First Evangelical Lutheran Church for 18 years, was well knnown throughout this community. She lived continuously for many years at the home in which she died. Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock with Pastor T. B. Epting in charge. Burial will be made in the city cemetery. Mary Adeline Nolden was born in St. Louis, Missouri, on December 1, 1847 and died at the age of 84 years and 25 days, following an illness of four weeks duration. She was married on January 23, 1865, to Frederick Nolden, the ceremony being performed in this city. Her husband died two years ago. Eleven children were born to the couple, one dying in infancy and Miss Josephine passing away 26 years ago. Four daughters and five sons survive. They are: Mrs. Emma Menckel of Festus Missouri, Miss Libbie Nolden, Mrs. Harry Mason, Mrs. William Guelker, all of Beardstown, Henry and Herbert Nolden of East St. Louis, Ill, Arnold Nolden of Joliet, Ill, Albert Nolden of Des Moines, Iowa, and L. F. Nolden of Beardstown. Two sisters, Mrs. Joe Hinchide and Mrs. Louise Reither and a brother, Henry Geils of Beardstown also survive, in addition to 15 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Family Notes: Family believes that error was made when wrtting obituary, because Frederick Nolden died in 1904, so we believe that Josephine Nolden-Thompson most likely died in 1929. L. F.
