Illinois.  Married Andrew John Menckel son of John Christian Menckel 
and Rebecca Cross  Marriage date:Sept.29,1886 in Beardstown,Illinois
Last Known Address was 1886 Festus,Missouri

Children:Lidia Pauline Marie b.Aug.9,1887 d.Sept.14,1887,Catherine 
b.Jul 29,1895 d.Jun 1985,Grace b.?d.?,Ruth(Mayme)b.Jul 3,1909 
d.Apr.28,1995


Mrs.Emma Menckel buried Sunday

Mrs.Emma Sophia Menckel,age 70 passed away at the home of her daughter 
in Festus last Thursday,March 9,1939.Funeral services were conducted 
Sunday from the Festus Christian Church.Interment followed in the Gamel 
cemetery. All details were in the hands of Finks.

Mrs.Menckels husband had preceeded her in death some years ago,but she 
is survived by three daughters, Mrs Bryant Decker,with whom she was 
making her home, and Mrs. Womack and Mrs.Thorpe,both residing away from 
here.


Notes: Finks Funeral Home is no longer in business in Festus,MO.
Emma and her husband are buried at the Old Gamel Cemetery but in the new 
Christian area on top of the hill.
