Second, I give, devise and bequeath to my beloved wife, Sarah Lowrence in liew of her dower, the farm on which we now reside, situate in part in the County of Morgan and in part in the County of Cass and State aforesaid, and being the East half of the North East quarter of Section four (4), containing seventy five 44/100 acres, and the North West quarter of the North West quarter of Section three (3) containing thirty nine 18/100 acres, all in Township sixteen North of Range eleven (11) West; and the West half of the South West quarter of Section thirty four (34) in Township seventeen (17) North of Range eleven (11) West containing eighty acres. And all my interest in the South East quarter of the South East quarter of Section thirty three (33) in Township seventeen (17) North of Range eleven (11) West being four acres. During her natural life, and all the live stock, horses, cattle, sheep, hogs x.x.. Two wagons and all farming utensils by me now owned. Also all household furniture and other items not particularly named and other wise disposed of in this will during her natural life as aforesaid. She however first disposing of a sufficiency thereof to pay my just debts as aforesaid. And at the death of my said wife, all the property hereby devised or bequeathed to her as aforesaid, or so much thereof as may then remain unexpended to my four children Mary Jane, Jacob, Martha, and Harriot Ann, and to their heirs and assigns forever. Third, My other farm in the North Prairie, situate in the County of Cass and State aforesaid, being the East half of the East half of the South West quarter of Section thirty five (35), containing forty acres; and the west half of the North East quarter of Section thirtyfive (35) containing eighty acres; and the West half of the Sough East quarter of Section twenty six (26) containing eighty acres; all in Township seventeen North of Range Ten West of the Third principal Meridian. I give and devise to my other children of former marriages to wit: Alfred Lowrence, Sally Lowrence, William Lowrence, Delila Lowrence, Jason Lowrence, Jonathan Lowrence, and Katharine Lowrence and to their heirs and assigns forever, provided however: That said farm shall be sold within two years from this date or sooner, if my executors see proper, and the proceeds of said farm shall be devided equallly among my aforesaid children, but deducting thereof any amount which any of them have already received of me, and if such amount should be larger as his or her share, he or she shall refumd to my executors the balance due, so that each shall receive his or her just share in full. And Lastly, I hereby constitue and appoint my said wife Sarah Lowrence and my said son Jonathan Lowrence to be my executors for this my last will and testament. Lourance and Sarah Lourance as principals and Charles Robertson & Augustus Stevenson----------------------- Security of the County of Cass and State of Illinois are held and firmly bound unto the People of the State of Illinoi in the final sum of Twelve Hundred----Dollars current money of the United States, which payment will and ? to be made and performed, we and each of us bind ourselves, our heirs, executors and administrate jointly severaly and firmly by these present. ? our hands and seals this 5 day of February AD. 1850--. The condition of the obove obligation is such, that if the above bounder Johnathan C. Lourance and Sarah Lourance eaxecutors of the last will and testament of Jacob Lourance deceased, do make or cause to be made a true and perfect inventory of all and singular. The goods & chattles, rights and credits, Sands, testements and hereditments are the rents and rofits issuing out of the same of the said deceased which have or shall come to the hands, possession or knowledge of the said Johnathan C. Lourance and Sarah Lourance the same so made, do exhibit in the County Court for the said County of Cass as required by law, and also make and ? a fair and just account of his acts and soings as such executors to said County when thereunto lawfully requird and to well an truly fulfill the ? injoined onn them in and by the said Will, and shall more over pay and deliver to the persons entitled there to all the legacies and bequests contained in said will, so far as the Estate of the said Testator will hereunto extend according to the value thereof and as the law shall charge them, and shall in general do all other acts to which may from time be required of them by law.
