Obituary. . . Sidney, IL

Funeral services for Charles Hilbert Block, 32, of Sidney were held at
10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 18, 1985 at Freese Funeral Home, Sidney, the
Rev. Richard Hartshorn officiating.

Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, Sidney.  Visitation was from 6 to 8
p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Block died at 6:15 p.m. Sunday (Sept. 15, 1985) at Carle Foundation
Hospital, Urbana.

He was born Sept. 3, 1953, at Champaign, a son of Everett and Sally
Turner Block.

Survivors include his parents of Sidney: a brother, Edwin Block of
Lincoln; and two sisters, Donna Nichols of Mansfield and Kathie McGowan
of Hollis NH

Mr. Block was a graduate of Unity High School, Tolono.  He was employed
by the American Red Cross, and was associated with Sidney United Church
of Christ.
